This rod is named after the Platinum Ross Colorado Reel that is also available as a combo on this rod.
One day while working in the shop I came across an old reel seat that was a clear anodized aluminum color. Up until now I could not find any reel seat that really worked well with the Ross Colorado Platinum Reel... and to be honest, I love the color of that reel. When I saw that reel seat, I knew that was the one to go with this reel, but I only had one. So I went to the machine shop and quickly ordered up about 20 more and now I have them in stock. We laser engraved the butt cap with a mayfly and made some cork and composite cork inserts to go with the combo.
You also may notice the agate guide and olive and gray thread wraps that also go with this combo. The gray wrapped over the green blank make the threads look a beautiful shade of olive. A very unique color for our beaver meadow series of rods.
The rod comes only with a western tapered grip, and also includes align dots and a cotton bag and premium aluminum rod tube case.
You can buy this rod as rod only, or as a combo with reel and free line.
he 5 footer and 6 and a 1/2 footer are just over an ounce in physical weight. Rod combos are between 5-6 oz respectively. Super light weight and beautiful feel in the hand.
